We had a fantastic first adventure day in Costa Rica! We saw sloths, monkeys (squirrel, howler and white-faced) and toucans. Plus, we saw spiders, frogs, ants, birds, raccoons, crabs, big rodent things, Jesus Christ lizard, iguanas, dear and berries that tasted like tomatoes (they were from the tomato plant family). Our tour guide, Daniel was wonderful!

Then we went to the beach and the kids played in the surf (they weren’t supposed to get ALL WET, but oh well). We found shells and coconuts that made for great games in the surf.

On the way back to the car, we were walking in a wonderful tropical rain shower and saw many more squirrel monkeys.

So many new things to experience in just one day!
