The first night the girls were in our arms forever after the devastating earthquake in Haiti.  It took tireless effort from soooooo many people and organizations, 2 weeks of ZERO sleep, lots of tears, non-stop calls to and from Senator McCain’s office in DC and AZ, among many others.  The culmination was a James Bond-type scenario involving Air Force on the tarmac in Port au Prince, the Senator’s office in DC, the US Embassy in Haiti, a good friend on-the-ground at the orphanage…but they finally arrived in Florida.  What a complete and total RELIEF and JOY it was to have these two little ones safe and in our arms.

Two of the most precious gifts we have ever been given…NO IDEA how we got so lucky.
