We didn’t know how it would work out, but we ended up having a great crop. Over 35 pumpkins, too many zucchini to handle from one plant, green beans that we couldn’t keep up with, cucumbers that ended up in over 60 jars for pickling, sweet corn that the kids wanted to eat right out of the garden and so much more.
And to think it all started with one of the hardest rainfalls in the beginning of the summer that washed away nearly all our seeds and a ton of top soil. Even the Colorado old timers said that they had never seen a rain so heavy before.
